In C, use library functions whenever possible, they are implemented in platform specific way to work way faster (memcpy [1] for example instead of the regular for loop to copy arrays).

But in C++... avoid STL stuff whenever possible, they are sucking slow.

Decided to write a simple pomodoro timer with a fancy config syntax and synchronization support via multiple devices (I want to get notified on my phone when the resting period ends) .....in Perl...

I don't know Perl, my Internet is very slow... btw Perl's regex support is awesome...

Maybe AWK is a more appropriate language for dealing with config .....I don't know AWK too :d

Finally! My autocomplete patch for st works without any bugs 😅

When I've switched from i3 and urxvt to dwm and st, the only things that always kept me to look back were the i3's 'dynamic' (config independent) scratchpads and the urxvt's autocomplete extension.

Now I have implemented both that features for dwm and st 🙂
